Lease Options have been part of the UK property landscape for decades but the current boom emerged in 2008 during the credit crunch when mortgage finance became a lot harder to find, and alternative strategies were required.
Lease Options do not require you to obtain a mortgage. You don’t even need to have a good credit rating. You can secure a property for as little as a pound.
With residential lease options, you can secure a property, take the profit from that unit for 3, 5 or even 20 years, and then either buy the property yourself or sell it on and pocket the capital appreciation that built up in the property over that time period.
